Legal Solutions - New Domain for Business Analysis - Part 2

Continuing my earlier post, I made a list of legal solutions available in market (India and Outside). Though, the list is still not exhaustive, the list gives a fair idea of what are available. The solutions are divided into different categories and sub-categories (in particular order). The categories have been identified based on function provided by the solutions or the problems addressed by the solutions. As such, I have identified three different categories - Matter, Document, Search & Report, and Analytics.
Category 1 - This category relates to creation and tracking of all case related matters, timings, and billing.

1. Practice Management Software
2. Case Management Software
3. Timing and Billing Solution
4. Time Tracking
5. Billing Solution


Category 2 - This category relates to creation and tracking of all case related documents.
1. Document Management Solution
2. Document preparation solution
3. Proof reading or Document Review solutions
4. Idea prioritization solutions

At present, the solutions in the above two categories are being used for their defined functions only and not for analytic purposes per se.

Category 3 - This category relates to search &  reporting of:
1. Case laws, policies, and rules & regulations
2. IPR granted and published application (global jurisdiction)

Category 4 - This category relates to pure analytics based on
1. Past cases 
2. Other law firms performance
